Our guests may enjoy seeing a turtle nest on our beach and watch the hatchlings make their way into the sea. This is a truly wonderful and unforgettable experience. Hawksbill and Leatherback marine turtles are Critically Endangered while Green marine turtles are Endangered. All marine turtle species have been protected in Barbados since 1998. Most Hawksbill turtles in Barbados nest during the peak season between mid-May through late October. However, nesting has been documented in every month of the year. Many of our hotel guests have witnessed a nesting and hatching event on the Coconut Court beach during the traditional nesting months. It is truly a lifetime experience!

Captain Charlie's Beach Bar (ON SITE)- sandwiches and salads, cocktails

Captain Charlie's is affectionately named after our family patriarch, Charlie Blades, and it is the perfect sandy spot to enjoy fun laid-back vibes, colourful cocktails and the cool island breeze. Guests and locals can enjoy a delicious barefoot lunch, served under the trees from our menu which includes wraps, fresh salads, sandwiches and homemade burgers. Sink your toes in the sand, order a cocktail (or three) and prepare for the hours to slip by!

Jake's Island Grille (ON SITE)- International

Jake's Island Grille offers a unique and contemporary dining experience with an unpretentious atmosphere and friendly cool-as-can-be service. Our menu features top quality steaks, succulent ribs, and our signature homemade burgers. Jakes also serves fresh local fish and seafood dishes, and several appetising vegetarian choices. Our guests can relax in our terrace and vibrant courtyard lounge featuring comfortable couches and chairs, outdoor dining, exotic cocktails, stunning wines and a selection of expertly crafted Caribbean rum drinks while listening to trendy rhythms. Featured dinner specials are available each week. Reservations are recommended. All guests are welcome.

Cocos Beachside Restaurant & Bar (ON SITE)- Traditional Caribbean and international

Cocos Beachside Restaurant & Bar is our charming open-air restaurant overlooking the pool and beach. We open daily for tropical buffet breakfast, a la carte lunch and candlelit dinner. Our hotel guests and local patrons will enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, freshly cooked dishes and lovely views of the beach and coconut trees. House specialties include traditional Caribbean and Creole cuisine. Dinner specials, and themed buffets are also featured in the evenings. Entertainment is scheduled several nights each week including our popular guest "mix & mingles" with free rum punch and fish cakes. Other evenings feature live steel pan, and guitar music. The bar at Cocos is equipped with two large flat screen TV's showing live sports including football, cricket, tennis etc.

Our Gift Shop

The Coco Express gift shop and convenience store is located in the hotel lobby and it is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm and Sunday 8am-12noon to serve you. It is fully stocked with essentials including snacks, wine, beer, spirits, grocery items, toiletries, resort wear, beach toys and locally crafted souvenirs. Guests also collect and exchange beach towels at Coco Express.

Freshwater Swimming Pool

Our guests can enjoy a swim in our well maintained freshwater swimming pool, read a book under one of the shaded pool deck umbrellas or relax on one of the many sun beds available. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel property, including the pool deck areas and beach towels are provided by the hotel and are available from the hotel gift shop located in the lobby. ($ exchange fee). Cocos Beachside Restuarant and Bar is adjacent to the pool deck area with food and drink service available. Just a few steps from the pool deck is our super gorgeous beach with sheltered lagoon for safe swimming and snorkeling and Captain Charlies Beach Bar. In the evenings, there maybe live entertainment on the pool deck bandstand.

Free Hospitality Room

This spacious and air conditioned hospitatlity room is provided free of charge for our hotel guests. Clean towels and toiletries are provided for our guests to shower and change before heading to the airport. Guests that would like to use the hospitality room are kindly asked to reserve their preferred time at the Front Desk on their morning of departure. Please note that this facility is available on request. Guests that would prefer to stay in their guest room after check out time, can reserve a late departure($) with a team member at our Front Desk.

Activities & Concierge Desk

Our activities desk, located on your way to the pool deck is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30am. Pop and in and have a chat with Vaida Blades to get the best local tips on attractions, activities and car rentals available on the island. Snorkel equipment and kayaks also available. Ted's island tour, the George Washington House, Garrison Historic tours and the local Welchman Hall Gully are highly recommended! If you have a question, please don't be shy, we will be happy to help you make the most of your Barbados vacation.

Fun Weekly Entertainment

Guests enjoy exciting and fun entertainment several evenings each week including our "mix and mingle" Manager's Rum Punch Party every Monday evening from 6-7pm with free rum punch, fruit punch and fish cakes. Meet the Coconut Court family and make new friends! Guests will enjoy a live calypso band, poolside BBQ and a local arts and craft market. Other evenings feature, live steel pan, saxaphone and guitar music, and our very lively and fun karaoke night at Captain Charlies Beach Bar. Our moonlit movies on the beach at 8:30pm every Sunday evening (weather permitting) are not to be missed!

South Coast Boardwalk

Coconut Court is just steps away from the popular South Coast boardwalk, which connects the beautiful Coconut Court beach to the popular Accra beach. This mile-ling coastal boardwalk is made of Brazilian hardwood and Canadian granite and it is perfect for a romantic stroll anytime or a brisk walk in the early morning. Take a break and relax while enjoying the sunset from one of the many benches that line the Boardwalk. Or you can stop at one of the many bars, shops and restaurants along the way. Enjoy the beautiful ocean views and contemplate life ~ maybe even spot a turtle or two having a swim!

Super Gorgeous Beach

The lovely Coconut Court beach is spacious and uncrowded offering free beach lounges and plenty of shade from coconut trees and beach almond trees. There is a large sheltered lagoon which provides a safe swimming environment for guests of all ages. Our guests love to swim in our "aquarium reef balls" which are teeming with many different species of small fish. The Coconut Court beach is also home to over 300 critically endangered Hawksbill marine turtles during the nesting season which spans from July to November each year. This number represents approximately one third of the Hawksbill nesting population of Barbados.
