West Coaster
The West Coast of Barbados is known for its calm blue waters and pristine beaches where I spent endless summer days growing up. To date, you can find me on any of these beaches on the weekend, washing the week’s stresses away awaiting the colours of the sunsets.
There is truly nothing better. Location is everything and being close to the city, beautiful beaches, a variety of rum shops, great bars and a multitude of restaurants makes it the ideal place to live. Due to the number of hotels and villas on the coast it’s easy to find locals grabbing a drink with tourists or to meet a new friend while soaking up the vibes on the beach. Like anywhere in the world, no place is absolutely safe, but the sound of children playing always permeates my neighbourhood and surrounding areas and there is a certain comfort in this. I cannot imagine living anywhere else.
Must Do - take a catamaran cruise up the west coast, and swim in the turquoise waters. Explore historic speightstown, walk on the board walk, have lunch, njoy the sunset from the 3Ws Park in Wansted, St. James or just and enjoy the view of the coast from on high
