St. Nicholas Abbey

Located in the hills of St. Peter, St. Nicholas Abbey encompasses over 400 acres of undulating sugar cane fields, lush tropical gullies, mahogany forests and formal gardens. St. Nicholas Abbey’s great house, built by Benjamin Berringer in 1658, is one of just three Jacobean style mansions remaining in the Western Hemisphere, and one of the finest historic sites in Barbados. It is St. Nicholas Abbey’s mission to create rum of exceptional quality and provenance, reflective of its 350-year heritage. By embracing its longstanding traditions, the plantation aims to preserve its distinctive history while creating a sustainable legacy for future generations to enjoy. As part of this vision, the Warren Family has created a cottage industry of sugar-based products, spearheaded by its signature offering, St. Nicholas Abbey Rum.
